About meI received my Ph.D. degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering at the University of Florida under the supervision of Dr. Panos M. Pardalos. Prior to joining the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I was an assistant professor at the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering at North Dakota State University and the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University. I also have a M.Sc. degree from the University of Florida and a Dipl. Eng. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. ResearchMy current research interests lie in network optimization and combinatorial optimization, along with their vast applications in modern socio-technical and biological systems. One of the main axes of my research is focusing on the study of centrality metrics in biological, social, and infrastructure networks, in order to identify groups and persons of interest.
